If you are just getting started in internet marketing and you are trying to figure out the best way to make money online, you have probably been blown away by how much information is out there. My guess is you have probably had a few thousand “get rich quick” schemes thrown in your face, too. Seems scary and overwhelming, but really it comes down to two things…deciding what you want to do before you end up running in circles, and making the smart decision to start building a list in that area…whatever it may be.

When it comes to list building, the main thing to keep in mind is that you have to keep learning and implementing what you learn…no matter what. And by this I mean, decide to focus and keep going even if you have distractions.

One thing that happens to new marketers as they are doing research and learning new things, is that they will find a ton of tools and products that look like something they absolutely need right now. Most of the time, you don’t need it…AND…you will probably waste more time learning how to use this new thing instead of keeping your focus on building your list.

Now, this is not to say that you don’t need any tools…you do…but I am saying if you spend most of your time researching tools and buying them all, you will probably spend more money than you make…and you will definitely spend more time than you probably have…doing research instead of working on building your business. Focus.

Listen, there are a million ways to get a squeeze page up…a million ways to use an autoresponder for maintaining your list…a million different domains you could pick…there’s not a million, but there are a ton of different hosting companies you can go with…the list of things you need and the ways to do them goes on forever. Your job is to not get lost on the road to getting your squeeze page up and your list built. Focus.

Every successful online marketer I have ever met has mastered this. I have made millions of dollars online because of this one thing. I focus like a ninja on the task I am working on…and for you as a new marketer…that should be list building. You should declare right now that you are going to be a ninja list builder. I guarantee if you do this you will have incredible success and make tons and tons of money online.
