Some people buy resale rights products and are convinced that all are created equally. That’s definitely not the case. There are different types of resale rights products, and if you’re going to work with resale rights, it’s a good idea to know what types there are.

First you have straight resale rights. That means you have bought the right to sell the product to someone else. You may have bought the right along with the product or you may have purchase the product and the resale rights separately. But the only right you have, legally, is to sell the same product to someone else, as is. You can’t alter the product or change it in any way.

So, how is this different from an affiliate product? A resale rights product requires you to set up your own website to sell the product, whereas an affiliate product generally gives you a link to their website, which indicates that you sold the product. With an affiliate product, you only get a commission on the sale. With a resale rights product, you get to keep all the money from the sale.

Master resale rights means that you bought the product and the right to sell it to other people, but you have the added right of selling it to another businessperson, who will then go out and sell the product on their own. You sell them the right to do that or as with resale rights, you give master resale rights to people as part of the purchase price when they buy the product. In each case–you the seller of the master resale rights and the person who bought resale rights from you–the party keeps all the money from any sales made. Yet, again, you can’t make any changes to the product itself. You have to sell it “as is.”

Private Label Rights are usually the strongest rights you can buy. They allow you to make any alteratios you wish to a product and to sell the altered product to other people and keep all the money. Private label rights may also include Master Resale Rights, as well.

Public Domain Rights is a special kind of resale right because it is contingent on the copyright laws at the time the work was created. Copyright on any intellectual property, such as books, ebooks, software, etc., reverts to the public domain after the author’s death plus a number of years. The amount of time varies with the date the work was created. To be sure that a work is in the public domain, it’s best to consult a legal professional because the law varies so much. However, with public domain properties, you can resell them without paying for the product because it’s in the public domain.

Each of these rights agreements is different, so if you buy a resale rights product, you should check the agreement carefully to decide what rights you own. Not all resale rights, master resale rights, or private label rights are identical. For example, some creators will allow you to sell the product, but not give it away. Some may not allow you to sell it in an auction site. You must be aware of the exact rights you have before trying to sell the product. Be sure you’re within the agreement and within the law.

Tons and tons of business opportunities are available online. Yet, many of them are not what you’re looking for. They exist only to take people’s money, and provide no value at all to the end user. One opportunity that is not often a scam is buying quality resale rights products. When these are well done, you can make money and offer value to your visitors.

However, beware of any websites that look shady or aren’t professionally presented, when it comes to buying your first resale rights product. Shoddy presentation means a shoddy product. Also remember to stick to your niche when making your choice. Don’t try to sell brushes to bald men because you probably won’t get too many sales. For example, if you have a list building around quliting, don’t try to sell the people on it pet products. Though many of them undoubtedly will have pets, that’s not why they’re on your list. They’re coming to you for quilting advice, where they see you as an expert. You aren’t perceived by them as an expert in the pet niche.

So, you’ll want to find a product about quilting, and review the marketing materials. Is the sales letter for the resale rights product convincing? How is the product presented? Does it look professional? If you answer no to either of those questions, think about this: How good will the sales copy and graphics be inside the product you’re considering selling? Probably not very good. When the sales materials aren’t very good, you won’t make many sales.

Yet, once you settle on a product, buy it. If it’s an ebook, read through it, and decide if you learned anything. If you’re a seasoned veteran of quilting, you probably won’t but you’ll know if it fits the people on your list. Also test the ebook and make sure the links work. If it’s a piece of software, install it on your own computer and make sure that it works well. Reselling garbage won’t win any trust points with your list.

After you decide that all is well with your new resale rights product, you should probably buy a new domain for it. Think about what the product teaches or does for your customers. Research keywords that are appropriate to that particular product. For example, if you’re in the fishing niche, you might go to http://seobook.com and use the keyword discovery tool to find keywords that are appropriate for fishing and your product. Then, buy a domain that uses those keywords in mind. For example, if you buy a product about fly fishing, you might want to check out the availability for a domain like FlyFishingInstruction.com if your resale rights ebook is about how to become a fly fisherman.

Then, add your domain to your hosting account, upload the appropriate files, and you’re in business! All you need do is to send a message your list and to drive traffic to your new website. All the heavy lifting, like creating a sales letter, a download page, and perhaps even autoresponder messages has already been done for you.

Disable Veterans Teleseminar | What Are the Ins and Outs of Resale Products?

More people are coming online every day looking for a way to make more money. They may be retired. They may be stay-at-home moms. They may have become disabled. For whatever reason they’re online, most newcomers don’t realize that there is an easy way to get the money rolling in with what’s call “resale rights” products.

Resale Rights mean that you have the ability to resell the product you bought to other people, and it might be an ebook, an audio, a video, or a piece of software. Generally the product has one price and buying the resale rights for the product costs a bit more. But when you buy resale rights products, you can set up your own website and sell the product and keep all the money you collect from it. The drawback is that with straight resale rights, you can’t change the product in any way.

Master Resale Rights means that you can sell the “right to sell” the product to other merchants. For example, you buy Master Resale Rights and sell resale rights to Joe. Joe buys the resale rights and sells the product to other people. Joe can’t sell the ability to sell the rights, like you can. He can only to sell the product.

Private Label Rights are really cool because you can take the product and alter it in any way that you see fit. You can put your name on it as the author. You can sell not only Resale Rights, but Master Resale Rights to other business owners, as well. PLR is really the highest form of resale rights going.

However, not all resale rights products are equal in terms of rights given. With any product you buy, there will always be a statement of rights, and it will specify what rights you have and what rights you don’t. Always be sure to read these agreements, or you could be in violation of copyright laws in the U. S. if you don’t follow the agreement.

Resale rights products are convenient because someone else has already done most of the work for you. You can set up shop in just a few hours, and start making money right away. Just be sure to find a quality product, to try it yourself first to be sure it is quality, and then, to sell it responsibly. You’ll be amazed at how well resale rights products can work for you.
