What Is the Difference Between Email Marketing  And Blogging

Blog and email merchandising are totally different within each other. They are two complete distinctive ways to commerce something, whether it is a commodity or assistance with. You are ready to discover that merely because someone may utilization email marketing to bring forth an income, does not mean that they always employ blogging as good.

Blog marketing is when you exercise a blog to promote an avail or a goods you can merchandise the ware or helping so that it appeals to others, and is something that they might want or need. By using a blog page you can get the word out as for the item that you are using and let others experience all about it. There are several ways to do this. It can be done as simple or as complicated as you want. For example, you can market your blog by exchanging links with other blogs that are relevant to yours. You can also leave comments on other blogs that will in return get you more visitors and readers to your own blog pages. Don’t forget to update your blog pages as often as possible as well. As that will make a huge impact on your blog site.

Electronic-mail marketing is when someone uses an email to get the news out as regards a product or service. You simply would have your visitors signing for a newsletters, and then send an email out to all of them that did so. However, you will also find that email marketing is great for many other things than all getting the information out. You can put associate links in your newsletters and hope that your readers will subscribe under you and you will get a commission for those items.

Merchandising in every way is pretty oftentimes the equivalent. You have to be certain who your audience is and who wants what you are selling. Once you apprehend this, the rest of it is cake. Whether you are email, affiliate or offline marketing. Even if you are into promotion offline, the equal will apply. You will need to be aware of who wants what you have to sell and you should have no problems with offering it.

Blog and email marketing are alike in many ways, but yet also very dissimilar when you are using a blog for distributing, you are going to see that you have to post what you are advertising on the blog page. But for email marketing, you can use an email to those interested parties. When you utilize a website to have people opt in to your newsletter for email marketing, you can be confident that you are not sending spam, but something that they requested from your site. This is something that they asked to be sent when they sign up for an ezine. Whereas if you are promoting a blogs, you could do this much the same mode as you can with a website, and get visitors to come to you.

Whichever you prefer, whether it is blog or email marketing you can still get the results that you want and that you are looking for. Just know that it takes time and persistence to achieve what you want, and get it from marketing online. Patience is key to getting your blog pages out there to everyone that is concerned in it.

I Can’t Get Traffic to My Blog

Well, why not? Maybe you think you have the best looking blog going, and if you took a lot of time putting it together, you’re probably motivated enough to post to it every day, too. So, where is everybody?

You could be going about it the wrong way. These few tips may help:

Give People What They Want to Read About

You don’t need to be the greatest writer in the world to have a great blog. What do people want when searching? They want information or they want to be entertained, right? That’s what you need to write, and hopefully, if you have the talent, a little of both. People really only care that what you write is readable and that it’s as truthful as possible. They want to feel as if it came from your heart. That’s what you need to give them! The best blogs are written by people who really and truly care about their topics. It just shows.

But if you really and truly stink at writing, or maybe English isn’t your first language and you have trouble writing. Then, you can still have a great blog. Search the Internet for interesting things, and when you find them post them to your blog in pictures, podcasts, videos, etc. Then, just write a blurb around it to introduce it or whatever, and people will enjoy it. I mean, look at a blog like Boing Boing (http://boingboing.net) and you’ll see what I mean.

Remember… Your Readers Are People

In the past, online marketers took that whole keyword density issue to its limit. They took their main keyword and just plugged it in as many times as they could to get ranking with the search engines. Guess what? It worked. Guess what? It doesn’t any more. Why? Because search engines want their results to be people-oriented. They want people who click on their results to get good information, not unreadable drivel written by attention-hungry idiots who don’t have a clue about how to care for the people who read what they have written. Always write with your audience in mind.

Find a Purpose

Do you think I give a hoot about what you had for breakfast this morning? No, and neither will anyone else, unless they’re in the breakfast cereal business. If you only want people from that industry to read your blog, then that’s something to post. Otherwise, it’s just boring drivel. Write what you’re passionate about. If it’s driving, write a blog about cars. If it’s snowboarding, write a blog about snowboards, and really let your emotion show. People come to your blog looking for something to do or something to learn. If you give them neither one, they’ll probably never read your blog again.

Spill Some Guts

Yep. When you’re blogging it’s important to tell people a little bit about yourself. They want to know you through your blog, and if you give them some personal information, it will be very well received. Tell them about that time you went fishing on Lake Erie and it was a complete fiasco, or that time you won the lottery and couldn’t find the ticket, or whatever. Just be sure to let them know you, even if only a little. It makes you human, someone that people can relate to and hopefully enjoy.

Stop Trying to Sell Things

If you read my blog, it’s no doubt that you’re an Internet Marketer, too. But if I can give you one good piece of advice here, it’s that you shouldn’t be posting with the idea of making a sale–ever. If you read my blog often, you know that I rarely post any kind of sales pitch. I have a blog because I want to give people information to help them succeed online as I’ve been lucky enough to do myself. Sure, I have links to my products on the side of my blog, and usually, I have a bit of anchor text at the end of every post that leads to one of my products, but overall, I’m just trying to provide information about something I’m very passionate about. When you post nothing but sales pitches, you won’t have many readers.

I hope these few tips will be of value to you. Your readers are people, not nebulous electrons in cyberspace. they want to learn and they want to be entertained. If you can do both, you’ll have readers lined up. Avoid the easy traps that will limit your progress. Come up with a blog that people will enjoy and you’ll have traffic enough for a lifetime.

Teleseminar | List-Building: The Secret to Gaining a HUGE List, One Step at a Time

Disabled Veterans Teleseminar Training Series

Rick Burdo Here!

I Say, Thank You

To All Our Veterans.

God Bless America

Blogging and pinging, press releases, writing articles, doing Podcasts, or using AdWords. Choose one. None of them are the magic bullet. All of them can make you a million dollars–individually. You can get good at any one of those things and drive all the traffic you want for the rest of your life. (At least as long as it’s a viable traffic source. )

Meaning, you don’t have to be good in all of them. You need to start by being good in one of them. What we’re talking about are traffic streams. If you’re just building your first list, you may be falling into the same problem with traffic that people fall into when they think about multiple streams of income. They try to have 25 streams of income all at once, when none of them produce anything.

First and foremost, you need to build a list. So, if you’re going to do press releases, do a press release every day and link it to your list-building page. Press releases are just a way of getting a message out in front of people. AdWords are great, too, though. People make a lot of money with AdWords. But, test AdWords slowly, and see what gets you the most list members, first. If you want to take the time to figure that out, go for it.

Step one is to pick one topic to use AdWords for. Once you know what your topic is and have a squeeze page up to build your list, then if you want to drive traffic with AdWords, drive traffic with AdWords. Read Perry Marshall’s book, The Definitive Guide to AdWords, first. Don’t waste a bunch of money.

Or, you can use articles to drive traffic to your squeeze page, and get even more subscribers for your list. You can just yank components from your old newsletters to do that. As you do this, and as you start studying blogging and pinging and everything else, what’s going to happen? You’re going to start getting ranked in the search engines and indexed.

You don’t even need to think. It’s going to be a copy, a quick read of it to make sure it makes sense and is still applicable, and then paste. You could develop a whole new traffic source based on all the content you’ve already done, and it can all lead to your list-building page.

Blogging is going to do two things for you. Number one, it’s going to build your list because you’re going to have an opt-in box on your blog. Number two, you’re going to have links, which are your affiliate links.

Number three, you could include AdSense there or something like that and besides building your list, you could instantaneously–literally over night–you could have a brand new income stream.

Here’s the thing, right now, you don’t need to be worried about all that stuff. You need to be worried about getting one good squeeze page that converts well and adds new members to your list, every day. As you learn about traffic, then drive a hundred different types of traffic to your list-building page in as many ways as you can, so that you can make some money.

You don’t need to be worried about creating 5,000 squeeze pages for different uses. You don’t need to be worried about creating 5,000 different offers for different things. You need one good offer that you can drive lots of traffic to, so that you can build a tremendous list. Plus, you won’t have to do the work over and over again.

If you study one form of traffic at a time and as you master each of them, things get really cool. What ends up happening is you drive a whole bucket load of traffic to your list-building page, people think you’re the best, and you make a bunch of money in the process. How cool is that?

List Building: Where to Find Entries for Your Blog

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Rick Here!

My question for today is:

How many of use remenber the Selective Service Days?

I Thank You all:

Veterans for Serving Our Great Country of Ours.

Enjoy!

Thinking about writing in your blog every day may be stopping you from getting a blog started. Continually creating new and interesting content for your readers may seem like a huge task and obligation. But it’s not, really… Not when you think about creating new content from things you’ve already written and using that in creative ways.

One very powerful way is to go through however many back issues of your newsletter that you have and find tips, recipes, news announcements, reviews, or whatever. Take those and turn them into blog entries. Post every single day of the week, if you can. As you do this, and as you start studying blogging and pinging and Web 2.0 and everything else more, what’s going to happen? You’re going to start getting ranked in the search engines and indexed because search engines love new content. Then, you’ll get more people reading your blog and because you have an opt-in box on your blog, they’ll also be joining your list.

Most of the time, you don’t even need to think. It’s going to be a quick read of the information you want to use, to make sure it makes sense and is still applicable, copy, and then paste. You could develop a whole new traffic source for your squeeze page, based on all the content you’ve already done and are uploading to your blog. Then, link back to your list building page and BAM! You’re using content you’ve already written and using it to promote your squeeze page, too. When you link back to the squeeze page from your blog, that will allow it to rise in the search engines, and you’ll be getting traffic.

Of course, it’s also going to build your list right from the blog because you’re going to have an opt-in box on your blog. Number two, you’re going to have links, which are your affiliate links in the blog entry. Number three, you could have AdSense in there or something like that and you could instantaneously— literally overnight—you could have a brand new income stream. That will allow you to take the existing content that you have and convert it into multiple different types of income streams, including ClickBank affiliate links for certain types of products.

The best thing about all this is that you’re continually building your list and you’re re-cycling words you’ve already written. Professional writers do that all the time. They’ll research a subject, create a book or an article, and later, create another article or book based on the research they’ve already done. So, why not use what you’ve already created to build a mega-list? It’s a smart way to go.

The only thing you want to avoid is duplicate content. Don’t recycle stuff that’s already on the blog or the search engines won’t like it. Take things you’ve written to your list, or things you’ve offered as free reports, or anything but what’s on the blog already. That won’t help you; it will hurt you, and that goes for any site you have.

Coming up with good content for your blog can be easier than you think, if you use what you have and repurpose it wisely. Constantly be looking for ways to use old articles, reports, or anything else you’ve already done and use it to keep your readers reading. Blogging as often as you can will be very, very powerful.

Lusting for List Building Traffic: Blog Traffic

Monday, April 13th, 2009

Rick Here!

I’m Proud to be an American.

Thanks for The List Building Club.

Enjoy!

Everyone knows about natural search, which is great, but let’s talk a little about “blog search” specifically. Did you know that there are search engines created specifically to index blog content? The biggest and probably the oldest around is Technorati (http://technorati.com), and if you have a blog, it’s a good idea to “claim” it at Technorati. That way, you’ll not only be indexed, you’ll be able to check minimal stats, like your blog’s rank in the blogosphere and how many people have made your blog a “favorite.” If you post a lot, and people like your blog, you’ll rise in the rankings and get more readers. There are other search engines for blogs, too, such as Blogsearch.Google.com and Icerocket.com, but there are tons of them. Get your site listed in as many as possible.

I’m sure you’ve heard a lot about YouTube, MySpace and other what they call “Web 2.0″ sites. They have a format you’ll probably recognize, either video or social networking. But there are other “tagging” sites that will bring massive traffic to your blog, and you should become a member of as many of them as you can. Here are some favorites:

StumbleUpon: Once you join, you’ll be able to download a toolbar that sits at the top of your browser. Then, whenever you see a site you like, you can vote on whether you like it or not. Vote “thumbs up” for every post you make. Be sure that you’re voting for the actual post and not just the blog by clicking on the title in WordPress or clicking on a link titled “permalink.” The pages that come up have a URL specific to your post.

SpicyPage: You can claim authorship to both blogs and websites here. Be sure to make some friends and get your site some votes. You will get some traffic.

Digg: Digg prefers news stories, but any worthwhile content is accepted. Just don’t post a blatant ad for a product and then “Digg” it. You won’t be happy with the results.

Most of these sites work the same way. Others are Del.icio.us, Netscape, Furl, RawSugar, and on and on. There are tons of “Web 2.0″ sites, which is what these interactive sites have been termed, out there.

Another Web 2.0 way to get traffic to your blog would include:

Wikipedia: The editors aren’t at all interested in commercial advertising. However, if you have a blog that provides great content for the topic, then fine. For instance, I also write an ADHDWebsites.com blog, which is strictly about dealing with ADD and ADHD. That site is entered in Wikipedia under several different categories pertaining to ADD and ADHD and a lot of traffic comes our way from there. Just be sure to follow the category’s style sheet when posting or your entry will be erased.

All of these are incredible sources where you can work to drive traffic to your blog and/or your squeeze pages. Don’t overlook this! For more Web 2.0 sites, go to Go2Web20.net (http://go2web20.net) and see just how many outlets there are. You’ll probably be amazed.
