Online Business – Who Can You Trust in the Virtual World?

Many times, people post in forums, hoping to gain perspective on the online business world. There are so many people pushing this product and that or this membership site or that, and they all come across with hope and promise for the future. But when you’re new online, how can you tell a good site from a bad one, or a good learning system from a bad one? Where can you go to get information?

Happily, there are some reliable ways to figure things out. Before jumping into any online business situation, visit these sites to see where things stand:
Google: Type the company’s name or the owner’s name into Google and see what comes up. When you see more good stuff than bad (and there will always be unhappy customers), that’s a very good sign.
Domain Tools: Type the domain into the blank, and see if the ownership certificate matches the website.
Twitter : Just ask about the program in 140 characters or less, and see what comes back. Again, a majority of positive replies would indicate that the company is a good one.
Better Business Bureau: If you see a Better Business emblem on a site, that’s a good sign. Take it one step further and see if the company is really listed in the Better Business Bureau, whether it has a good reputation, and what its rating is.

When you’re skeptical about choosing an online business to work with, these sources will help you to decide whether or not the company is reliable. The more good information you get back from happy customers, from the sources listed above, and just your own good feeling about the product should be enough to decide whether or not to pursue your purchase.

Companies don’t want unhappy customers. When you find that the information is overwhelmingly negative, then, the situation might be something to avoid. Always be sure. Nothing is worse than finding that you’ve spent your heard earned money on something that isn’t solid.

Making a solid investment in your future is money well spent. If you want a solid company to train you in online marketing, you won’t find a better organization than Tellman Knudson’s Overcome Everything. With an “A” rating in the Better Business Bureau, thousands of satisfied customer testimonials and a tenure of more than 5 years online, this company knows how to train new Internet marketing hopefuls. How to Make Money Online – Become an Affiliate Manager

Are you just getting started? Wondering how to make money online? Not sure what is going to be the easiest way for you? Thinking you have tons to learn? Well, if that sounds like you, one thing to consider is to become an affiliate manager.

What is an affiliate manager?

Basically affiliate managers run affiliate programs for marketers. Their job is to make the marketer a whole bunch of money and in return they get paid really well. The job isn’t super hard. They are on the phone all day and call people to set up deals and promotions. They do research and they recruit affiliates and train them.

For example, an affiliate manager might contact people and set up teleseminars for the product owners and affiliates.

It’s a great way to learn…to get in and start understanding all the components of internet marketing. As an affiliate manager you make a bunch of contacts, get into people’s inner circles…build some great networks. It can be a huge way to get in–getting to know all the people in the different networks and getting to know everybody. Being an affiliate manger is awesome for that.

How do affiliate managers get paid?

Affiliate managers may be paid based on the work they do and they may also be paid a percentage for every sale they make. A lot of good affiliate managers are paid a monthly retainer…anywhere from $2000-$5000 a month, plus a percentage of all affiliate sales. So if you make $100,000 in affiliate sales, you’re going to get 5-10 percent of the sales, depending on the contract.

Are affiliate managers only for internet marketing?

Affiliate management is a huge industry and outside, in the corporate world, there’s affiliate managers for every big company. You look at monster.com and people are hiring affiliate managers all the time. So it’s a position that’s in high demand right.

What makes a good affiliate manager?

lot of the guys that I see that are getting bigger in whatever business that they’re in–they’re always coming to me and asking where do you find your affiliate managers?

What they really want to know is: where do you find people that make these calls? How do you find people you can trust? How do you find people that actually know what they’re talking about? Because it’s fairly hard to find somebody who knows what they’re doing.

What makes a good affiliate manager is training. You don’t have to have been around the industry for a long time, but you do need to know some basics. And the question is, are people trained up or not?

Where do you get training to be an affiliate manager?

If you Google “Affiliate Manager Training” you will find a lot of different programs out there that will train you so you can become an affiliate manager. Do some research before you pay for anyone’s training…make sure they know what they are talking about!

Russell Brunson has offered a training course that my affiliate manager has gone through…and he got a lot out of it. My sister went through the course and also got a tremendous amount out of it. After going through it, our affiliate program monthly income doubled–so I highly recommend this system.

If you enjoy learning and meeting people…making deals and hooking people up…the when you are looking at how to make money online definitely consider becoming an affiliate manager. You can make some good money and meet lots of people…and you can apply what you learn online and offline!

Veterans Teleseminar Series | How to Make Money Online – Market Your Product on ClickBank

A lot of people have a product that they have already created and they want to know how to make money online with it. Maybe it is a recording they did of an interview or it’s a video teaching something in particular…whatever it is–I am a big believer in starting out with digital products.

One of the reasons I like digital products so much is that they have pretty high profit margins and they allow you to have some success really quickly.

If your product is digital, then I would definitely encourage you to start selling it through ClickBank.com. ClickBank is a marketplace for digital products and is set up so that you can immediately begin accepting payments and making sales. You don’t have to worry about trying to set up a credit card system or any of that…they do it all for you–it’s awesome.

Another great thing about ClickBank is that you can instantly plug into their affiliate program and have a bunch of people out there promoting your product for you. They handle all of the administration of that too so it’s really, really easy.

This is one area that a lot of people put off when they are first learning how to make money online. They think it will be too much work, and it can be if you aren’t plugging into something that is already put together for you. They also worry about how much time they will spend managing it, after they have gone through the trouble to build it. Again, not a big deal if you use ClickBank’s affiliate network.

Here’s my take on this…don’t get your business started, get your product created, and then back away at this step just because it seems like it will be too much work. You’ve come this far, now you want to do everything in your control to drive sales and make profits–and there is nothing like having a bunch of people selling for you. There are just thousands of affiliate marketers on ClickBank every day who are looking for products that they can promote. Why wouldn’t you want them to pick yours and sell, sell, sell?

So take advantage of what ClickBank has put together. They have answered the “how to make money online” question and handed it to you on a silver platter. It is a slick system that works very, very well and literally…with the exception of creating your product for you…they have done all the work. All you have to do is plug in.

List Building | Making Your Articles Keyword Dense

We’ve been discussing driving traffic to your list building page by using articles, and it’s an incredibly important concept. If you do not learn how to drive traffic to your list building or squeeze page, you… will… fail. I guarantee it. So, let’s expand more on using articles to get traffic.

This time, I want to discuss how to make articles “search engine friendly.” This will get your pages to the top of the search engine results pages (SERPs) and increase your list building power.

The first thing you should do is to gather a list of keywords and keyword phrases, which are also referred to as “keywords.” Go to Overture.com’s search tool and see how many searches were made in the previous month on some of those words. Think about using any of the keywords that have 500 searches or more.

For instance, if you search the term “list building,” at Overture, you might get results like, “email list building, and opt-in list building.” It may be hard to compete with some of the highest-ranked keywords, so you may want to concentrate on keywords that are less searched because there is less competition.

So, let’s say you choose “opt-in list building” for the keyword you want to use so that you can dominate that search space. And let’s say you’re promoting an ebook about list building. OK, then, your title might say: List Building | Free Ebook Helps You to Maximize Your List.

In the body of your article, you’ll tell people how to build their lists by reading this free ebook. Right? Use “opt-in list building” and maybe “free ebook” as many times as you can, without what’s called “keyword stuffing.” You want to keep the flow of your article natural and you want to use the keywords early and often, especially in the title. Just be sure the article flows when you’ve finished it.

In your signature box, you’re going to use your keyword again, like this: Joe Smith is an affiliate marketer, and stands by, “List Building Book Title.” Be sure to pick up this free ebook at http://listbuilidngbook.com (and no, it’s not a real site).

Now, how to you know if your density is too much or too little? Well, the guideline for the whole article, including title and source box is 2 to 5%. Ok, great, right? How can you tell?

There are a couple of free keyword density analyzers online where you can input text and find the information you need. You can search for “keyword density analyzer” and come up with a bunch, but most of them are for pages already online. You want one that analyzes text. Then, plug in the text of your article and the analyzer tells you how high or low your density is.

If you find your density is too low, add keywords where you can without making the article sound funny. Or, edit out some of the text. If you find the density is too high, find ways to say “opt-in list building” in a different form, like plain “list building.” It will be hard to find synonyms for that phrase, but you get my meaning. If your density is too high, get rid of some keywords or write more text.

When you have your keyword density between 2 and 5%, you’re set. Check your spelling and upload your article to a directory. It will soon start driving traffic to your squeeze page and you’ll be list building in no time.
